Job Overview We are seeking a new Manager of Projects to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Manager of Projects, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Orlando office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.
Key Responsibilities Project Oversight & Delivery Support
Provide oversight across assigned projects to support consistent execution and reporting
Monitor schedule, budget, staffing and risk trends and assist teams in resolving emerging issues
Support Project Managers in maintaining alignment with contract requirements, scope and client expectations
Participate in project kickoff meetings, periodic project health reviews and capture lessons learned to help apply best practices across future projects
Project Controls, Standards & Tools
Reinforce consistent project delivery processes, templates and reporting standards
Support accurate project setup, work plans, forecasting and budget tracking in An ERP system
Review project dashboards and reports to identify trends, risks or performance concerns
Assist in improving project management tools, workflows and documentation
Financial & Risk Management Support
Support Project Managers in tracking project financials, including budgets, forecasts, costs and revenue
Review labor performance, subcontractor costs, contingencies and change management impacts
Participate in monthly project financial reviews and support development of corrective action plans
Assist with preconstruction and project startup reviews to confirm pricing assumptions, staffing plans and risk allocations
Help identify and mitigate potential claims, disputes or financial exposure through early coordination
People & Team Support
Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Managers and project staff
Support staffing coordination and workload balancing across projects
Assist with performance feedback, professional development discussions and role clarity
Collaborate with leadership and HR on talent development and succession planning
Design & Preconstruction Coordination
Coordinate with design leaders to align schedules, staffing needs and design milestones
Participate in constructability, phasing and sequencing discussions to identify cost and schedule impacts
Support the transition from preconstruction to execution, helping ensure continuity of scope, assumptions and team alignment
Construction Team Coordination
Work with Construction Managers and field leadership to support sequencing decisions and issue resolution
Assist in clarifying responsibilities and improving coordination between office and field teams
Serve as an escalation point for project issues that require cross-discipline alignment
Subcontractor & Trade Partner Support
Provide input on subcontractor performance, capacity and workload across projects
Participate in discussions related to subcontractor selection, team fit and improvement opportunities
Marketing, Business Development & Client Support
Support pursuits by contributing project delivery, staffing and execution input
Assist with proposal narratives, staffing plans and interview preparation from a project delivery perspective
Participate in client meetings, interviews and issue-resolution discussions as needed
Support post-project reviews and identification of repeat-work opportunities
Client Relations & Client Experience Support
Serve as a secondary client point of contact across assigned projects, supporting the Project Manager in maintaining strong, consistent client relationships
Participate in key client meetings, progress reviews and issue-resolution discussions to provide continuity, reinforce confidence and support alignment
Help anticipate and address client concerns related to schedule, budget, quality, staffing or coordination before they escalate
Support consistent communication of project status, risks and mitigation plans in coordination with Project Managers
Assist in managing sensitive or complex client issues, including scope clarification, change discussions and recovery planning
Support post-project evaluations, lessons learned sessions and client feedback reviews
Help identify opportunities for follow-on work, repeat engagements or expanded services in coordination with Business Development and leadership
Reinforce a consistent client experience across projects by aligning delivery practices, communication approaches and responsiveness
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Reinforce accountability for safety, quality, ethics and regulatory compliance across projects
Support consistent application of safety and quality expectations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field or equivalent experience
Min 5 years of demonstrated project management experience or similar role within construction, AEC or design-build
Strong understanding of project delivery, field operations, preconstruction and subcontractor coordination
Hands-on experience with project financial tracking and forecasting
Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
Have good to great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint for project financial tracking and forecasting
PMP certification

Salary Range: $138,008-159,016, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
