We are seeking a new Construction Project Scheduler to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Construction Project Scheduler, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever-evolving project needs. This opportunity will be in the client’s South Chicago field office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project, and team needs.

Salary Range: $120,640-149,760, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay for and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.

We are seeking a new Construction Project Scheduler to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Construction Project Scheduler, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever-evolving project needs. This opportunity will be in the client’s South Chicago field office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project, and team needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical work including Primavera P6 scheduling, project management information systems (Microsoft SharePoint and Trimble Unity Connect) and the Microsoft Suite
- Support the technical aspects of project development and delivery and will perform quality control/quality assurance on elements of project controls work efforts, products and deliverables
- Consult on complex project schedule issues
- Apply advanced knowledge to make recommendations and deliver solutions
- Attend meetings with contractors and stakeholders to discuss project status and participate in field inspections if necessary
- Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 version 20.12 or higher
- Three (3) to five (5) years of heavy civil scheduling projects
- Ability to clearly communicate the status of a CPM schedule
- Ability to merge or summarize schedules into a master schedule
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a collaborator mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have great organizational skills
- High diligence in analyzing schedule data
- PMP certification and/or PMI-SP certification or willingness to pursue same
- Public transit and rail industry experience that provides subject matter expertise in this technical specialty
- Three (3) to five (5) years of rail and transit experience
- Two (2) years of estimating in rail and transit
- Ability to create, manage and analyze project timelines
- Ability to initiate time impact analysis and or delay claims
- Ability to cost and or resource load a construction schedule
- Ability to manage large complex projects
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders and articulate ideas
- Ability to review contractor and/or designer schedules submittals for conformance with contract requirements
- Ability to update project schedules to reflect actual progress and compare against a baseline
- Ability to forecast potential delays and propose “what-if” scenarios to keep projects on track
- Ability to cost and/or resource load schedules
