Job Overview We are seeking a new TransportationCivil EngineeringProject Manager to join our Civil Engineering Transportation Design team at Ardmore Roderick. The ideal candidate enjoys roadway design, project coordination and interacting with clients. As a Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will be joining a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs.
This opportunity has the flexibility to be located in either our Chicago or Downers Grove, IL location and has three days in office and two days virtual schedule most of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Manage team to successfully deliver projects per the client's expectations
Manager project schedules and budgets
Coordinate with Client and subconsultants
Collaborate with fellow managers in the development of proposal packages
Assist less experienced engineers by providing technical support and opportunities for skill development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 15 years of experience working on civil transportation centric design projects
Possess phase I/II design and project management experience, varying in complexity for clients such as IDOT, Tollway, CDOT and other local agencies
PE license in IL
The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare the designs themselves should staffing availability and schedule dictate as such
Proficient with MicroStation and ProjectWise
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam and/or Adobe
Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
Have good to great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree(s)
Familiarity with Open Roads
Familiarity with proposal preparation
Experience designing and managing the preparation of project reports, plans, specifications and estimates for local municipalities
CFM license
PTOE license

Salary Range: $125,010-164,944, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
