Job Overview We are seeking a strategic and highly skilled Corporate Communications Manager to lead the firm's internal and external communications efforts. As a Corporate Communications Manager, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.
This role is responsible for developing compelling communications that strengthen our brand, engage employees, support executive leadership, and reinforce our vision of Reimagining Infrastructure to Improve Lives and Communities.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Corporate Communications Manager serves as a trusted communications partner to executive leadership, working closely with the President and Executive Leadership Team to develop messaging that informs, inspires, and advances the firm's strategic priorities.
This position leads the firm's communications function and partners with the Digital Marketing Coordinator, who manages the social media, digital communications, and email marketing initiatives. Together, they ensure consistent messaging across internal and external communication channels.
Key Responsibilities Executive Communications
Partner with the President and Executive Leadership Team to develop speeches, presentations, talking points, executive messages, and leadership communications
Provide strategic communications counsel to executive leadership
Ensure consistency of executive messaging across all communication channels
Support executive visibility through thought leadership, articles, social media, and speaking engagements
Internal Communications
Develop and execute firmwide internal communication strategies that foster employee engagement and alignment
Lead communications for strategic initiatives, town halls, employee meetings, and organizational announcements
Create content for the intranet, newsletters, emails, videos, and internal campaigns
Partner with Human Resources and business leaders on employee communications
External Communications
Develop corporate communications that strengthen Ardmore Roderick's brand and reputation
Write and edit project stories, website content, newsletters, and award submissions
Collaborate with external public relations partners
Identify opportunities to elevate the firm's thought leadership and market presence
Content Strategy
Develop an annual communications calendar aligned with strategic business priorities
Ensure messaging reflects the firm's vision, values, and brand standards
Manage editorial planning across internal and external communication channels
Support change management communications for firmwide initiatives
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with Human Resources, Operations, and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives
Support crisis communications and time sensitive executive messaging as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
5 to 8+ years of corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications experience
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Salary Range: $114,920-139,984, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
